Life Insurance & Critical Illness Cover

These types of Life insurances are designed to help financially when disaster strikes.

Every time we arrange a policy we hope that we are "Selling Fresh Air".

Sadly every year we have to deal with the impact of death or serious illness.

Insuring for an event does not bring it upon you. But it is vital when things go wrong that provision is made to avert personal tragedy from becoming a personal tragedy with complete financial ruin. Even if you are not here, it is comforting to know your family and loved ones are taken care of.

Life Insurance:

There are many types of insurance. They can be arranged for a predetermined term or be flexible and open-ended to meet a variety of purposes. The sum insured can be arranged to be level, index-linked, increasing or decreasing. The amount insured can be payable as a lump sum e.g. to repay a debt or provide a lump sum or be arranged to pay out a regular term. The cover required is normally tailored to suit your particular requirements. Many policies now pay out in full on receipt of a terminal illness diagnosis. This is not a replacement or alternatative for Critical illness cover.

Critical Illness Cover

This cover is normally effected like life insurance and usually life insurance is integral within a Critical Illness plan. Critical Illness is, for want of a better description, an upgrade to life insurance, so that in the event of you being diagnosed with a life threatening illness the sum insured becomes immediately payable. Survival is the desired outcome. If you do survive the serious illness the sums paid out are not repayable. Typically these policies will pay out on diagnosis of serious illnesses such as Cancer, Heart Attack, Stroke, etc.

The plan is to relieve your health situation of any financial concerns, so that all you have to concentrate on, is overcoming your illness.

Stress is not good for recuperation!

Remember ... The test for your needs is:

Imagine you didn't get home tonight because of your death or serious illness.

What would happen to your finances?

How would it affect your family?

How long until the "Bank Manager" and others were baying for money?

Sadly it doesn't always happen to someone else!
